In addition to partnering with Pet Transportation Services, The Cat Adoption Foundation works with experienced and professional animal transportation service across the country to transport pet animals from any of our locations to their new home or final destination.
Please be aware that costs for transport of a dog or cat can range from USD $100 to $200 or more, based on location and airline.


All animals are placed in carriers that are the appropriate size for them regardless of the size reserved. Reservation of appropriate carrier sizes allows us to plan transports that save as many lives as possible.
Delivery times can be in the middle of the night or the very early morning, so we plan accordingly.

Ground Pet Transportation: We offer a direct route from pickup to delivery anywhere. With our door-to-door ground service, your pets will be safe and comfortable as they travel and you’ll be worry-free.

    • Shipping fees are calculated based on the destination, size, and weight of the cat, as well as the chosen shipping method.
    • A breakdown of shipping costs will be provided at the time of adoption to ensure full transparency.
    • Note: Adoption fees are separate from shipping costs and must be paid in full before shipping arrangements can be made.

  3. Shipping Process:

    • After you complete the adoption process, we will work with you to schedule a convenient date for shipping.
    • Your cat will be transported in a comfortable, secure, and climate-controlled pet carrier.
    • All necessary travel documents, including veterinary health certificates, will be provided to ensure your cat’s safe journey.

  4. Shipping Timeline:

    • Shipping timelines may vary depending on your location. Typically, shipping is done same day.
    • We will provide tracking information so you can monitor your cat’s progress during transport.

  5. Health and Safety During Transit:

    • We work with professional pet transport services that are experienced in handling animals during travel.
    • Each cat is provided with the necessary care, food, and water during transport, ensuring they are safe and comfortable until they arrive at their new home.

  6. Receiving Your Cat:

    • When your cat arrives, you will be contacted in advance to arrange for pickup or home delivery, depending on the shipping service used.
    • Upon receiving your cat, we recommend that you visit a local veterinarian for a check-up to ensure their well-being after travel.

  7. Shipping Restrictions:
